Gradings will be held approximately every 3 to 4 months.
Grading fees are as follows:
- Taking white-belt/yellow tag to blue belt: £30
- Taking red tag to black tag : £35
- Taking 1st Dan Black Belt: £110
(The fee includes your grading, your new belt & a Certificate of Achievement).
Coloured belt grading's are conducted by a qualified grading examiner.
A grading card (report) is completed by the examiner and feedback given to the student in open to aid continuous improvement.
If a member fails their colour belt grading, they are allowed ONE further attempt for the same grading for Free, as the Instructor has to pay their grading fee.
Black belt gradings are held twice a year by a panel of senior black belts.
A student must train for a minimum of 3 years 5 months before applying for a 1st Dan Black Belt grading.
(Please note that the above time is for twice week continuous training, as this is always strongly recommended. If you only train once a week, then the time will be doubled).
